I found this photo (see below) on Facebook and I’m reminded that as teachers, we need to constantly tell the parents of our students to follow-up and guide their children in making/doing their assignments or homeworks. Our students, especially the younger ones, need guidance and supervision in accomplishing their requirements to avoid what happened in the picture below. We need to involve the parents and acknowledge their great contribution in the teaching-learning process of our students.
For parents, it is a reminder that we need to take part and do our roles in the education of our children because learning doesn’t end in school. It has to be continually enriched at home.
Communication and participation are the keys to a successful partnership between school and home.
