Event: Cine Europa 17

 

 

 

The Europian Union, together with Liceo de Cagayan University, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, Film Cultural Exchange Program and the Philippine Star, is presenting CINE EUROPA 17, an annual event wherein various european films will be shown to the Filipino audience. They started touring the Philippines last September and the films have been screened in Metro Manila, Baguio, Iloilo, Cebu, Leyte, Tacloban and Davao.

On November 13-16, 2014, they will come to Cagayan de Oro and the films will be shown at the Rodelsa Hall. Everyone is invited and admission is free. Schedule of activities are posted below.

  • 9am – SWEDEN: IsDraken (The Ice Dragon) (Adventure; PG)
  • 11am – THE NETHERLANDS: Mees Kees (Mister Twister – Class of Fun) (Family/Comedy; PG)
  • 1pm – DENMARK: Jagten (The Hunt) (Drama; R-13)
  • 3:30pm – ROMANIA: Nasa (The Godmother) (Action/Comedy; PG)
  • 7pm – BULGARIA: Patuvane kam Yerusalim (Journey to Jerusalem) (War/Drama; PG)

November 14

  • 3pm – SPAIN: El lince perdido (The Missing Lynx) (Animation; PG)

November 15

  • 1pm – THE UK: Metro Manila (Action/Crime/Drama; R-13)
  • 4pm – THE NETHERLANDS: Bon Voyage (Family; R-13)
  • 6pm – ITALY: Una sconfinata giovinezza (A Second Childhood) (Drama; R-13)
  • 8pm – NORWAY: Vegas (Drama/Youth; R-13)

November 16

  • 9am – GERMANY: Die andere Heimat (Home from Home) (Drama/History; R-13) – Four hours long
  • 2pm – HUNGARY: Tuskevar (Thorn Castle) (Family/Romance; PG)
  • 4pm – SLOVAKIA: Love (Drama; R-13)
  • 6pm – CZECH REPUBLIC: Obcansky prukaz (Identity Card) (Comedy/Drama; R-13)

All films are subtitled in English.
